Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: images and videos you upload to create face swaps ("Visual Content"); account information such as name and email address; and communications you send us (e.g., support or contact-form messages).

Purchase information: when you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation and limited details but not your full payment card data.

Information collected automatically: usage and device data such as device type, OS version, app interactions, crash logs, and approximate (non-precise) location derived from IP, as well as analytics identifiers.

2. Face and Biometric Data

The Service processes user-provided photos and videos ("Visual Content") that may contain faces to perform face-swap and related transformations. The facial images you upload are used only as input to generate the face-swap output you request. Depending on your jurisdiction, facial data may be considered "biometric information."

The app does not scan, enroll, or create persistent biometric templates or face-geometry maps for identity recognition. We do not use facial data to identify or authenticate you, to build a facial-recognition database, for advertising or profiling, or to train facial-identification models. We do not use facial data to identify you across services, and we do not sell it.

We do not share face data with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not send face data to any third-party AI service. All face-swap and AI processing is performed by our own proprietary AI engine, developed in-house and running on cloud infrastructure operated by us (Google Cloud Platform). Google Cloud acts solely as a hosting provider (data processor) under confidentiality and data-protection obligations and does not use your content for any purpose of its own, including AI training.

Uploaded source images are retained only as long as needed to provide the Service and are automatically deleted within 30 days at the latest, even if you do not delete them yourself. See Section 5 (Data Retention) for more detail.

Where required (e.g., Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI, EU/UK GDPR), we obtain consent before processing biometric data and honor the rights described below. You provide this consent during app onboarding, where you must agree to this Privacy Policy before using the Service, and your device separately asks for photo library or camera permission before any content can be selected.

3. How We Use Information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service (including generating face swaps); to process purchases and manage subscriptions; to provide customer support; to monitor for, prevent, and address misuse, fraud, and policy violations; to analyze usage and improve performance; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed with: service providers / processors acting solely on our behalf — cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform, which also hosts our in-house AI engine), analytics, support, and payment confirmation — under confidentiality and data-protection obligations; app stores (Apple and Google) that process your purchases; and authorities where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and safety. Information may also transfer in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not send your personal data, photos, or videos to any third-party AI service. Face-swap processing is performed entirely by our own AI engine on infrastructure we operate.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Uploaded Visual Content is retained only as long as needed to provide the Service and is automatically deleted within 30 days at the latest, even without a deletion request. You may also request deletion at any time as described below.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; withdraw consent (including for biometric processing); object to or restrict certain processing; request data portability; and opt out of certain analytics via your device settings. California residents may know, delete, and correct personal information and not be discriminated against for exercising rights. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

7. App Permissions and Tracking

The app may request access to your photo library or camera to let you upload Visual Content. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. On iOS, we request tracking permission via App Tracking Transparency where applicable.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@faceswap-video.com and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them; review their privacy policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
